GIA Diamond ReportEstablished in 1931, the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) exists to protect diamond purchasers by providing impartial verification of the quality of their polished diamond. With locations all over the world, the GIA is an independent, non-profit organisation and is the world’s most trusted gemological laboratory. With a GIA certificate, you can be assured that every aspect of your diamond has been accurately and objectively assessed.

A GIA diamond certificate will validate the diamond's 4 Cs of cut, colour, clarity and carat weight plus details of the diamond's particular dimensions and proportions such as cut symmetry, total depth, crown angle and depth, etc. Whilst a GIA certificate does not seek to place a value on the diamond, it offers authentication of the diamond's quality and can support an appraisal of the jewellery for valuation purposes.

Each Canadian Fire diamond over 0.50ct automatically carries independent and internationally recognised GIA certification.
